Summary: An explanation is finally given.

Sara looked at her friend and their savior again before speaking up, “What was that back there? They didn’t seem like a bunch of lowlifes looking to randomly attack some girls. They seemed like they wanted us for a reason.”
Alex nodded, “Those were believe it or not professionals, and they were after you. And they most certainly weren't lookin for a good time with two beautiful women that’s for sure.” She grunted and shifted Jane a little bit. “Look I’ll explain things as best I can when we get to your apartment okay.” Sara nodded and went quiet again.
They walked for a few more minutes in silence when Sara spoke up again, “I uh, thank you for saving us back there. I’ve never been in that kind of situation before and um, I have to admit it was really scary. But then you came by and kicked all their butts and it was amazing! Where did you learn to fight like that anyway?”
Alex spared a glance at her and rolled her eyes, “You sure like your questions. Just wait until we get to your apartment and i’ll explain everything.” She told her again. Sara just huffed at her standoffish attitude.
After what felt like forever they finally arrived to the apartment. Sara led the way up the stairs to her door and took a moment to look through her purse to find her keys. Alex waited, though not very patiently for she kept tapping her foot or shifting Jane. Finally Sara opened the door and ushered Alex through the door. “You can put her in the guest bedroom, down the hall and first door on the left.” Alex nodded and walked off, Sara on the other hand, took the time to pull off the uncomfortable shoes she had been wearing and went to the kitchen to pour herself some coffee. Briefly she wondered if her savior would like a cup, but waved the idea off, reminding herself to ask when she came back into the room. She walked over to the couch she sat down and tried to relax, still somewhat uncomfortable to having a stranger in her home, even one that saved her.
Alex walked back in and immediately noticed Sara on the couch, her head resting against the back of the couch and her eyes closed. Giving a sigh she walked over to the recliner chair that was facing the couch and sat down. “Sara? You still awake?” She asked.
Sara opened her eyes, and was briefly surprised that she was sitting on the chair, she hadn’t heard Alex walk over. “Yeah I’m still awake. So, you going to answer my questions now?”
Alex raised an eyebrow at her, “One track mind you have. Yeah I’ll answer them, but first you have to answer something for me. When was the last time you talked to Lieutenant Murrough?”
“Daddy? Um the last time we talked was about 2 days ago I guess? Why? What does he have to do with any of this.?” Sara replied
At her reply Alex rolled her eyes. “Of course he wouldn’t say, fucker,” She mumbled to herself.
“Hey that’s my dad you’re talking about!” Sara shouted at her.
Alex ignored her and continued on with what she was saying, “It was your father's job to tell you these things not mine.” She paused and gave a sigh, “anyway, where to start.”
“How about with who you are.” Sara suggested, still somewhat annoyed at the girls attitude.
“Got a spot as any, I suppose. My name is Alex, last name unnecessary. I work with the Collective Mercenary Agency, CMA for short. I was hired to be your personal bodyguard for an unknown amount of time.” She paused giving Sara a chance to ask questions.
“The CMA? I’ve never heard of it.”
“Of course you haven’t, we mostly work with the government and do classified stuff. But that’s not the point. I’m not sure if you father mentioned this, but do you know about Operation Unexpected Dragon?”
“Yeah, wasn’t my dad in charge of that? He said that I would take out a lot of rival supporters or something.”
“Essentially yes that’s what it did. A man by the name of Baqir Halevi is the leader of the group, the Tal Kafishar. An enemy terrorist group looking to bring America down, anyway. The operation your father ran was suppose to take out hundreds of supporters and Baqir himself, along with reveal his future plans. Unfortunately due to some misguided information is wasn’t a complete success, Several hundreds and Baqir got away with the plans and are now wanting revenge on you father and that includes his family. The military has your father, mother and brother all safe but to avoid having you removed from college they decided that getting a bodyguard, aka me to watch over you. Now they will try stuff do to the fact that obviously it would be a better strategic plan to attack you with one guard over the military base itself, so I’m saying this now. You must do what I say when I say it. Do you understand?” Alex finished the explanation.
“Now look here, you can’t just come into my home and expect me to do what you say without question. How do I know you’re even saying the truth and not part of the Tal karish- whatever!” Sara yelled at her.
“Don’t take my word for it. Call your father, he should still be up.” Was Alex reply as she looked at the clock on her phone. Sara looked over at her again, watching as Alex looked around the room taking in its appearance. Nodding she stood up and made her way over to the phone in the kitchen. Still with her eyes on her guest she phoned her father and waited for him to answer.
When he answered the phone he greeted her with his usual cheerfulness. “Sara, how are you baby girl?”
Her eyes still locked with Alex’s, she spoke in an even tone. “Dad...we need to talk.”
